Wildboden

From Erna Schilling's perspective, the focus is on Ernst Ludwig Kirchner's turbulent final years in the Davos mountains, in the ‘Wildbodenhaus’ where they lived together. It was there that Kirchner's addiction to art and morphine reached its peak, paralleled by his defamation by the Nazis, and that on one tragic morning, the heartbeat of love stopped beating for a moment.
