Ultimately, the abductor's salacious purpose is dark and nefarious. From its opening scenes, literally shot in the downpour of Hurricane Ivan, to its shocking conclusion in the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains, its gritty realism is always unsettling, yet strangely enchanting.
