The Specimen

After three months at a remote research facility in the antarctic, the crew are ready to return home. All, that is, except Rick Decker, the team leader, and a young but gifted scientist who has refused to leave due to his most recent discovery: A new organism unlike anything he has ever seen. Following a shocking revelation, the specimen escapes. Decker and the new recruit search for the discovery of the century in a hunt that could mean the difference between life, death, and the Nobel prize.
