Walter Nickel (born 1941 in Upper Silesia) is a German actor.
Nickel rose to prominence through his appearances in the Tatort series. In the Tatort productions produced by the MDR, he played—alongside Peter Sodann and Bernd Michael Lade—the initially nameless, recurring role of the forensic technician Walter.
Nickel also appeared multiple times in supporting roles in Polizeiruf 110. Furthermore, he made appearances in the series Familie Dr. Kleist and Heiter bis tödlich: Akte Ex.
