Claire Lovering

Biography

Claire Lovering is an award-winning Australian actress known for her work across film, television and theatre. She was born and raised in Fremantle, Western Australia, and is an acting graduate of the prestigious Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). Claire stars opposite Mark Wahlberg and LaKeith Stanfield in the newly released Amazon MGM feature, PLAY DIRTY (number one worldwide on Prime Video), directed by Shane Black. She most recently wrapped the new Hulu series THE SEASON from the creators of Crazy Rich Asians. Her other screen credits include the lead role of Gert in the AACTA-nominated comedy series GOLD DIGGERS (ABC/CBS), Amazon's high-concept comedy, CLASS OF '07, for which she received an Equity Award nomination for Best Comedy Ensemble, the highly popular comedy series AUSTIN (BBC/ABC) opposite Ben Miller and Sally Phillips, the hit Netflix shows NORTH SHORE with John Bradley and Joanne Froggatt, and Wellmania with Celeste Barber, Stan’s satirical comedy CAUGH*T alongside Sean Penn, and WOLF LIKE ME (Peacock/Stan) opposite Josh Gad and Isla Fisher. She also appeared in the blockbuster SAN ANDREAS with Dwayne Johnson. Claire began her career on stage, performing with many of Australia's leading theatre companies, including Sydney Theatre Company, Melbourne Theatre Company, Queensland Theatre Company, Griffin Theatre Company, Ensemble Theatre, and Black Swan State Theatre Company. Her self-penned one-woman show, River played to sold-out audiences nationwide and earned her the ANZ Blue Room Theatre Award at the Spectrum Now Festival. Claire was a recipient of the esteemed Mike Walsh Fellowship, which enabled her to study Method Acting at the renowned Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in New York. Her breakout stage role in The Feather in the Web (Griffin Theatre Company) earned her the 2018 Sydney Theatre Award for Best Female Actor in a Leading Role in a Main Stage Production. In addition to her screen and stage work, Claire is a prolific voice artist, regularly narrating audiobooks and voicing campaigns for major brands including Youi, Qantas, Airbnb, and Google.
