Biography
Blair McClendon is a New York-based film editor, writer, and filmmaker whose work spans documentary and narrative feature film. He edited Charlotte Wells's acclaimed debut Aftersun (2022), starring Oscar nominee Paul Mescal, and Kitty Green's The Assistant (2019), alongside credits including After Sherman, Mr. Soul!, The Last Showgirl, and the Oscar-shortlisted documentary UNION (2024). His films have premiered at Sundance, Cannes, Tribeca, and TIFF. Beyond editing, McClendon is a writer whose criticism and essays have appeared in n+1, The New Republic, and The New York Times Magazine.
