Biography
Atluri Venkateswara Rao (born April 6, 1984), known professionally as Venky Atluri, is an Indian film director and screenwriter who works predominantly in Telugu and Tamil cinema. He began his film career as an actor and dialogue writer with Gnapakam (2007) and Sneha Geetham (2010), before making his feature directorial debut with the romantic drama Tholi Prema (2018), which he also wrote.
Atluri subsequently wrote and directed the romantic dramas Mr. Majnu (2019) and Rang De (2021). In 2023, he made his debut in Tamil cinema with the period action drama Vaathi (shot simultaneously in Telugu as Sir). He then wrote and directed the period financial thriller Lucky Baskhar (2024), followed by Vishwanath & Sons (2026).
