Derya Dilber

Biography

Derya Dilber (born 2000 in Berlin) is a German-Turkish actress.

Derya Dilber grew up bilingually—speaking both German and Turkish—in Berlin-Charlottenburg and first appeared before the camera as early as 2014. After securing early roles in productions such as Tatort, she performed at the Berliner Ensemble in 2020 in the stage production Die Möglichkeit einer Insel. She gained wider recognition in 2021 for her lead role as Selma in the feature film Ein nasser Hund. This was followed by further film and television productions, including the series Almania and Notruf Hafenkante, as well as the film Elaha, which premiered at the Berlinale in 2023. In addition to German and Turkish, Dilber also speaks English.
