Biography
Dzauqy Ilham is a writer and director who enjoys weaving cultural, social, and political phenomena into narratives infused with satire, comedy, and fantasy. Having launched his career as an alumnus of Viu Shorts! Season 2 (2020)—a film incubation and workshop program organized by Viu Indonesia—he has consistently produced distinctive works. One of his standout projects is the short film Tutup Hari Kiamat (Apocalypse Mart), which has traveled to various national and international film festivals. After winning first place at the Europe On Screen (EOS) 2024 Short Film Pitching Forum, the film secured second place and official selection status at both the Madani International Film Festival (2025) and the Imac International Film Festival (2026), and made the top 20 shortlist for Best Short Film at the Indonesian Film Festival (FFI) 2025. He is currently developing his next short film, Sunday Showdown, through an international story incubation program by Objectifs x Momo Film Co., as well as his debut feature film, Lima Satria Setan.
