Breaking through with his debut short film (Dead Weight Carries), Joe' Michael Chavez takes his first step to his childhood dream of becoming a professional filmmaker. Chavez wrote, directed, and edited Dead Weight Carries (2025) alongside Luke Rather, a friend who shares the same ambitions. Chavez has 3 scripts that are in development and plans to work more independently as a Director.
