Biography

Fennie Yuen Kit-Ying (Chinese: 袁潔瑩) is a Hong Kong actress. In 1985, she was discovered by Raymond Wong Pak-Ming while arguing with her boyfriend, and joined Cinema City & Films Co. at under 16 years old, starting her acting career. Early on, she formed the "Happy Girls" group with Loletta Lee Lai-Chun, May Lo Mei-Wei and Charine Chan Ka-Ling, starring in the Happy Ghost series. In the early 1990s, she appeared in many Wuxia films such as The Swordsman and Tai Chi Master, earning praise for her heroic image. In 1991, she signed a per-drama contract with TVB and began acting in TV dramas. She also briefly joined the music scene, releasing two solo albums, but suffered from anorexia in 1994 which paused her career. In 2002, she ended her contract with TVB, only occasionally attending events or working as a product spokesperson. She now mainly does volunteer work.
