Stratis Alvanos

Biography

Stratis Alvanos is a filmmaker and photographer from Kastoria, Greece. His work focuses on documentary and experimental cinema, exploring themes of memory, place, landscape, and cultural identity. His films include My Father Was Mavrokampos (2023), Mikri Vrysi / Мала Чешма (2024), and Christmas from Snow (2025), which have been screened and awarded at film festivals in Greece and abroad. Alongside his personal work, he has collaborated as a cinematographer and camera operator on documentary, fiction, and television productions.
