Biography
Alejandro Medina Medina (born December 23, 2003, in Cádiz, Andalusia) never formally studied film, but his curiosity and constant interest in the arts led him to experiment with filmmaking. He was profoundly shaped during the period he spent living with another artist in a shared apartment while they both pursued their respective university degrees. During this time, he became influenced by underground, kitsch, unconventional, rebellious aesthetics, and everything they collectively perceive as “ijbol and idgaf".
To date, Medina has directed few short films and the recent PFA: One Last Show (2026). Having also won two Variety Awards and a Golden Olive in 2026 for his contribution to kitsch art and to the spontaneity and compulsive nature of his work. Medina, however, insists that this is merely a brief introduction to his artistic career.
