Biography

Vanessa Abdelaal Aka Vår Del Aal is an experimental filmmaker, writer and producer based in Lebanon. Her work mixes between documentary and experimental forms exploring themes of home, urban environments, proximity, distance and the physical embodiment of space. Her credits include the experimental shorts ALIEN (2018), WARDE (2022), 8 Points (2022), Anthropomorphic City (2026), and Intimacy (2026). Alongside short documentaries; My Grandmother's Story (2019) and Relocate (2023).
