Carmen Traub is an award-winning director, producer, writer, and recording artist with a versatile background in narrative, documentary, and promotional media. Known for a visceral, intimate, and cinematic storytelling style, she has successfully crossed creative disciplines to craft compelling human and environmental narratives.Traub is the creator, writer, and director of Brokenhearted Hollywood, an 18-episode television talk show that aired on LA36 Cable TV in Los Angeles and earned three film festival laurels. An accomplished visual storyteller, she has also directed and produced numerous music videos that have garnered international festival awards—notably for her tracks "Super God", "Abrasive", and "The Disillusioned". Her extensive commercial background includes serving as creative director for more than 50 commercials and high-end marketing videos for a diverse range of clients.As a multi-faceted filmmaker, her feature credits include writing, directing, editing, and composing for the film Unhooked (2026). Beyond traditional narrative film, Traub is a dedicated environmental advocate, wildlife photographer, and shorebird rescuer. She is the co-founder of the conservation initiative Endangered Species 2050 and the founder of Trash Moms, an environmental clean-up organization. Her striking nature photography and environmental photojournalism have earned critical acclaim, including a nomination for the 1839 Awards for her series documenting the aftermath of Hurricane Ian. Additionally, her photojournalism and journalistic video work have appeared on Gulf Coast News and SNN (Suncoast News Network), covering pressing regional subjects such as styrofoam pollution, beached whales, and local fires.
