Mengna Da

Biography

Mengna Da is a multimedia artist and researcher born in China and based in Brooklyn. Her work is an invitation to play with—and complicate—power dynamics that shape our realities: algorithms, gender, immigration, language. She creates performance, video, websites, installations, and games to reimagine our bodies and agency within various systems of control. She received an M.A. in Interactive Media Arts from NYU Tisch, where she returned as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in 2025–27. Her work has been supported by the Foundation for Contemporary Arts and CUNY Public Interest Technology.
