Talgat Maratov

Biography

Talgat Maratov was born on April 3, 2007, in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. From an early age, he was drawn to creativity and cinema, developing a passion for films, storytelling, and the art of bringing ideas to life on screen.

His interest in filmmaking grew over the years, eventually inspiring him to take his first steps as a filmmaker. In the summer of 2026, Talgat wrote and directed his debut film, Tomorrow. The project became his first experience of turning his ideas into a complete film.

An important part of this journey was his childhood friend, Nurkhan Zhumabekov. The two have known each other since childhood and have long shared a love for cinema and creative storytelling. Their friendship and common interest in filmmaking eventually brought them together to work on Tomorrow, alongside Talgat's college classmate Nursultan Baatyrev.

Following the completion of his first film, Talgat moved to Italy to continue his education. This new chapter marked an important stage in his personal and creative development, giving him the opportunity to experience a different culture and broaden his horizons while continuing to pursue his passion for cinema.

For Talgat, Tomorrow represents the beginning of his journey in cinema and the first step toward developing his own voice as a filmmaker.
