Superstar is a UK talent search, looking for the lead role in a production of the 1971 rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar. The series started on 7 July 2012 on ITV and was presented by Amanda Holden.
1Auditions
Andrew sets off on an audition tour to meet the hopefuls, with the top 100 facing the panel of West End casting director David Grindrod, Melanie C, Jason Donovan and Andrew himself.
2Superstar Island Auditions
Andrew Lloyd Webber has invited all the contestants to Superstar Island for an intensive week of training which will separate the leaders from the disciples. With singing, dancing and acting challenges, only a few will get through to the next stage. Along with Mel C and Jason Donovan, Andrew has his work cut out to find those with true superstar potential.
3Mallorca
The remaining contestants head to Andrew's villa on Mallorca, where they have the chance to sing again for him. Then they travel across Europe for one last test in front of Andrew and his fellow judges Jason Donovan and Melanie Chisholm. Which ten contenders will be chosen to be finalists?
4The Superstar Studio
Our singing sensations take to the stage to sing for The Panel for the first time! Welcome to the Superstar Studio.
5Live Show 1
After the results of the public vote are revealed, the bottom two performers must take part in the sing-off. Andrew Lloyd Webber will then decide who gets to stay in the competition, and the remaining contestants perform again, each hoping to win viewer votes and stay in the running.
6Live Show 2
The remaining finalists sing their hearts out for viewers' votes in the hopes of being the chosen one. Who will be eliminated today?

Nine go down to eight in Andrew's continued search for a Superstar, featuring the Kaiser Chiefs.
