Woody's vacation in the desert is interrupted by a scientist who thinks he has landed on Mars and wants to take Woody back as a specimen.

Woody Woodpecker is on a whale watching trip, searching for Dopey Dick, the Pink Whale. When sighted, the ship captain sends Wood out in a rowboat to capture Dopey.
