After the events in the city of Insanaty, Jonathan decides to prove his loyalty to the new group so he can bring along Ana and Leopad—his old friends from Insanaty. To do so, however, he must undergo a series of trials in the very city that once caused him such suffering; he will uncover the truth behind what really happened, why the bombs fell, and details about the new zombies—all while seeking the answer to the question: what do they want from this city?
