Yet, long before this genre first emerged in the late 1990s, back in the 1980s, Japan’s very first ‘paranormal documentary’ already existed!? The film depicts the inexplicable events that befall the paranormal directors and others involved who gather around Kotaro Terauchi and his assistant, Nao Suzumoto, as they investigate Japan’s first paranormal home video submission, *The Unknown World of the Supernatural*.
