He meets those who have been defrauded and their relatives to gain an insight into how the doorstep con artists prey on their victims' trust and age-related conditions such as dementia.

In Surrey, Raith Bennett accompanies police as they arrest someone suspected of conning a vulnerable man, and 26-year-old trafficking victim Mark Ovenden talks about his experience as a labourer held in appalling conditions by a group of travellers. Meanwhile, an offender who previously escaped justice is tracked down in Dudley in the West Midlands after swindling homeowners out of thousands of pounds.
