12 new sewers get ‘summer ready’ with shorts, transform barbecue aprons into bags, and become models as they make outfits for their perfect summer’s day.
2Episode 2
It’s week 2, with sewers tackling prints and colours, including an adaptive pattern-matched shell top, a transformation of purple and brown, and an outfit in just one colour.
3Episode 3
It’s week 3 of the sewing bee, and it’s time for Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, with pants, outfits with drama at the back, and made to measures hoping to save the planet.
4Episode 4
Week 4 celebrates Mexico with a folkloric top, structural garments made from tablecloths, and outfits inspired by Mexican festivals.
5Episode 5
It’s sports week for week 5, with sewers creating swim shorts, teaming up to transform windsurf sails, and using free motion embroidery on made-to-measure bowling shirts.
6Episode 6
Week 6 is children's week, and the sewers tackle a pattern for a tutu, repurpose fleeces into cuddly toys, and design outfits for their very own superhero creations.
7Episode 7
It’s Music Week, so expect Madonna-inspired cone bras, outfits for a pop trio, and disco decadence in the Made-to-Measure.
8Episode 8
It's Literary Icons Week, and the sewers are challenged to create their own versions of Sherlock's deerstalker, transform school uniform for a grown-up Matilda, and channel their inner Jane Austen.
9Episode 9
Three challenges stand between the remaining sewers and the final: leather jackets, men’s shirts, and a little black dress.
10The Finalfinale
It’s the final, and the finalists tackle a cummerbund and bow tie, make beach outfits from tableware, and create outfits on the theme of metamorphosis.
