On Jan. 15, 2009, three minutes after takeoff on a routine flight from La Guardia, N.Y. to Charlotte, N.C., US Airways Flight 1549 suddenly fell from the sky; without power, veteran pilot Capt. Sully Sullenberger landed the plane in the Hudson River.
