1Living on a Thin Line
Family lawyer Maria Kostas tells Carla that Nina's death was not a victory but an advancement, as federal interest is already moving north toward Boston. Vincent and Carla travel to Boston to meet Paulie Morano, who dismisses Tony's legacy and tells them Newark now answers to Boston. Carla recruits a compromised officer named Kerrigan, who Ray Cifarelli brought to her, to retrieve Carmine's sealed evidence box from the precinct vault, which contains a flash drive, a handwritten ledger, and a key labeled "Boston Union Safe." Ray tells Carla to be careful. Kerrigan is ambushed by Boston muscle on his way out and barely escapes through Newark traffic.
2Both Sides Now
A man delivers a phone to Vincent at the bar playing audio of a Boston voice reciting family names including Tara's, and leaves a photo of Mick taken one hour earlier alongside a Boston rooftop address. Carla authorizes a suspicious shell company transfer designed to trigger federal audits, deliberately expanding the blast radius rather than containing it. Mick grabs a watcher and records him naming his employer before releasing him as a message sent. Elena has her case reassigned and her building access revoked when her captain corners her on a rooftop and tells her she will fall quietly if she does not cooperate. She hands over the flash drive but memorizes the final name before destroying it. The name is Sean Daly. Vincent meets Sean Daly in Boston, who offers to promote Newark into a regional operation.
3Goin Down Slow
The election season becomes the new battlefield when a Boston PAC funding mayoral candidate Andrew Whitmore traces back to the same shell structure Nina used, and Carla backs a Newark candidate named Mendoza by offering campaign infrastructure rather than cash. Dominic travels to Boston for meetings and begins taking prescription pills not prescribed to him to stabilize a body and focus that are both deteriorating. Maria Kostas meets Elena privately, reveals she left federal compliance because every win was temporary, and hands her a structural map showing Boston shell companies converging during election season, stepping out of her role as lawyer and into the conflict directly. Mick returns to his apartment to find his notebook gone and a Polaroid of a diner waitress on the kitchen table taken that same night. He texts Vincent that they have found his exit.
4Suite Osumanthus
Bottle episode. Sean Daly convenes the Boston board at Suite Osmanthus, bringing in Paulie Morano, real estate magnate Linda Roark, venture capitalist Kevin Holt, and Father Crowley one at a time with no overlap. Dominic arrives last as a subject of evaluation and impresses the room with his read on Newark's structural failures. Paulie quietly kills a runner named Frankie Boyle who talked to the wrong people. Sean announces a strict no-bodies rule until after the election. Alone with Dominic after the others leave, Sean offers a permanent position as strategic counsel with no street exposure. Dominic considers it, says nothing, and does not refuse. He takes two pills in the suite bathroom and does not recognize the man looking back at him. The room is cleaned and reset with no sign anyone was there.
5Walk on By
Carla meets Sean Daly at neutral ground and agrees to hand Boston backend access to Newark's campaign infrastructure, overruling Vincent and fracturing their alliance. Dominic, in Boston, is shown a non-prosecution framework that requires one name in exchange. Boston moves faster than anyone anticipated: consultants appear at City Hall, and men arrive at Vincent's bar to tell him his liquor distribution will be changing. Carla discovers her backend access has been expanded without her authorization, and then finds her name removed entirely as primary authorizer on the document. Elena and Maria identify Crowley's nonprofit as the one exploitable pressure point in the Boston structure. Dominic stops taking pills and sends a message on a burner. Sean calls Carla to thank her for her cooperation. She tells him this was not the deal. He tells her there was never one.
6Body Burn
Flashback to what Rudy has been up to. Rudy escapes his hospital room in the immediate aftermath of the Season 2 shootout, faking his death and going underground for six months. He surfaces outside Providence, healing himself and building a map of the Boston network across motel walls. He tracks down an old Russo-era fence who gives him a name, then ambushes a Boston election-rig scheduler in a parking garage, records his full confession on a cheap digital recorder, and leaves him zip-tied in his own trunk. He visits Elena, just to see her face; they talk, and she decides not to report him. He calls Vincent on an old burner, tells him he is alive, and arranges to meet at the dock where Juan was executed. Rudy hands over the thumb drive and recordings and says it is for Rosalie and Juan. He burns his old IDs by the water and disappears into the dark.
7Mood Indigo
Vincent leaks a fragment of Rudy's evidence to Elena anonymously, which she traces directly to Crowley's nonprofit. Carla coaches Mendoza through debate prep. The Crowley scandal breaks midway through the live debate, Mendoza gains three points, and Boston immediately freezes one of his vendor payments in retaliation. Carla checks the campaign system after the debate and finds her name removed as authorizer. She texts Vincent that they need to break free together. Mick shadows Mendoza post-debate and warns off a Boston tail without confrontation. Paulie corners Dominic in a Boston alley, grabs him by the arm, and tells him one shake is all it takes to ruin everything. Elena and Maria finalize their exposure strategy using Rudy's material. They hook up after establishing the romantic relationship. We see Mendoza having a nice night with his family, anticipating th election. Boston announces a last-minute election day debate before dawn, catching everyone off balance.
8The Valley
Shot as a single continuous take following Luis Mendoza through election day from his perspective alone. Riots erupt across Newark as anonymous leaks tie him to Russo money, and his poll numbers collapse on the drive to the debate hall. Mendoza detours through an industrial valley district, arrives at the hall having abandoned his prepared platform, and pivots to directly naming Whitmore's Boston connections on stage. The debate turns in his favor, as the crows get louder for Mendoza. During his closing line, a sniper's bullet strikes him in the head mid-sentence. He collapses in front of a live audience. The camera stays with the body as the auditorium descends into chaos.
9The Trinity Session
Immediate chaotic aftermath. Mendoza's assassination is attributed to Mick within hours, with witnesses placing a man matching his description near the stage and police recovering a planted sniper rifle bearing his prints. He is arrested and charged with first-degree murder. Vincent and Carla reform their alliance around proving the frame. Dominic confronts Paulie directly and Paulie confirms the hit was ordered. Rudy visits Mick in jail and promises to find proof. Elena and Maria begin tracing the actual sniper back to Paulie while the Russo siblings coordinate Mick's defense over a burner video call. Inside the Boston board, Crowley begins quietly defecting and slips Elena a confessional note. Paulie loads a gun. Mick is led into the courthouse as news tickers announce he is on trial for the assassination of Luis Mendoza.
10Shot in the Dark
Mick's murder trial unfolds in a single day. The prosecution presents planted ballistics, eyewitness accounts, and his documented presence near the debate hall to argue he was the family's enforcer sent to eliminate a political threat. Maria defends him and argues every piece of evidence was fabricated by Boston. Mick takes the stand and testifies that he received an anonymous tip on election morning warning that Mendoza would be killed, and spent the day trying to stop it, arriving seconds too late. The account is corroborated only by his own testimony and a destroyed burner phone. The jury finds him guilty of first-degree murder. Maria announces an appeal. Outside the courthouse, Vincent tells Carla it is not over.
11200 More Miles
Mick is processed into Northern State Prison, where Ray Cifarelli visits him and passes coordinates to a Vermont cache Tony buried before his death, telling him to wait for a signal. Rudy and Elena talk as they wait to visit Mick in jail. They talk about future plans. Dominic confesses to Vincent that he gave Boston the names and schedules that enabled the frame and asks to come back. He packs up in Boston, disarms Paulie at the door, crushes his remaining pills at a rest stop, and drives to Newark clean. Elena quits the force. Rudy reaches Tony's hidden Vermont cabin and recovers a cache of documents and cash. The ensemble converges at Mendoza's snowy funeral, where Crowley hands Elena his full confession, Kerrigan quietly reactivates his loyalty to Carla, and forgotten Newark figures resurface. Whitmore is sworn in as interim mayor with Sean watching from the shadows. Marco, Juan's brother, pulls up outside Rudy's Vermont cabin with a shotgun, zip ties, and a tape in the back seat.
12The Order of Death
Clearly unwell, Marco confronts Rudy at the Vermont cabin and shows him a tape of Rudy killing Juan in the warehouse, a killing Rudy has no memory of committing. Marco zip-ties him to the chair, forces him to watch, then turns the shotgun on himself and blows his own head off. Rudy walks out alone and traumatized. How could he have not remembered killing Juan? Juan was like a brother to him. Meanwhile Elena and Maria attempt to push their Crowley evidence live, but federal agents breach the apartment before the upload completes. They flee through the snow. Carla sends Kerrigan into the precinct evidence lockup to plant the Crowley document, and he is arrested on camera. She deletes his number. Vincent meets Paulie alone in a small, closed-off room. Paulie works through every family wound until Vincent, angry and riled up, draws a revolver and shoots Paulie in the head suddenly. Vincent is at first surprised at his own actions, and then what he has done sets in.
